Kristina Bangma — owner and founder

My mission as a Personal Trainer is to show my clients the joys of living a healthy lifestyle and to provide them with the knowledge and training to succeed, whatever their fitness goal may be.

My career in the fitness and wellness industry began in 1998 as a Registered Massage Therapist, living in Whistler B.C. After four years, instead of helping people recover from the same injuries over and over, I wanted to teach them how they could play and train without getting injured in the first place.

In 2003, I moved to Vancouver and started Get Fit with Kris Personal Training which is now known as Kits Energy Training Inc.

My passion for sports and exercise came at a very early age. Once I had discovered the endorphin rush of endurance sports, I was addicted and soon began weight training, road biking, running and swimming on a daily basis. This was the beginning of what I now know to be a lifetime of learning and a dedication to health and well being.

Early on I realized that fitness isn’t about winning a race or losing weight. It is a lifelong endeavour that is constantly changing and developing as we discover new information on how our bodies work. I believe it is normal that our commitment to our fitness will ebb and flow as we move through the cycle of life. But I also believe that it is my duty to help my clients find the time, energy and the desire to make their personal fitness one of their main priorities.

To educate and motivate my clients I enjoy writing fitness articles for various blogs and papers. You can find my work in the Vancouver Courier, Women in Cycling blog and on my own personal coaching blog.
