Having a goal is what drives me forward and I approach my work with my clients in the same manner. By customizing my client’s training sessions I can maximize their time spent in the gym.
Kristina Bangma — owner and founder
My mission as a Personal Trainer is to show my clients the joys of living a healthy lifestyle and to provide them with the knowledge and training to succeed, whatever their fitness goal may be.
My career in the fitness and wellness industry began in 1998 as a Registered Massage Therapist, living in Whistler B.C. After four years, instead of helping people recover from the same injuries over and over, I wanted to teach them how they could play and train without getting injured in the first place.
In 2003, I moved to Vancouver and started Get Fit with Kris Personal Training which is now known as Kits Energy Training Inc.
Early on I realized that fitness isn’t about winning a race or losing weight. It is a lifelong endeavour that is constantly changing and developing as we discover new information on how our bodies work. I believe it is normal that our commitment to our fitness will ebb and flow as we move through the cycles of life. But I also believe that it is my duty to help my clients find the time, energy and the desire to make their personal fitness one of their main priorities.

As a 7-time Ironman finisher and with over 37 marathons under my belt, I know about challenging myself to go the distance.
I also know that going the distance whether in life or in sport is about having a healthy mind and body. Helping people achieve a healthy mind and body through exercise is what led me to becoming a personal trainer.
My passion for fitness and training started over 20 years ago. But it wasn’t until I began working out with a personal trainer myself that I saw some serious gains in the form of strength, speed, and endurance. The strength training made me stronger and faster. And the many hours of endurance training helped me tackle the mental aspect of the long distances.
Having a goal is what drives me forward and I approach my work with my clients in the same manner. My workouts are personalized to the clients’ chosen goals with special consideration given for any limitations or injuries. I strive to keep things interesting, challenging and engaging for my clients. By customizing their sessions I can maximize their time spent in the gym.
My dedication and commitment to a healthy mind and body is defined by my belief in “walking the walk” and I love having the opportunity to share my enthusiasm!
When I’m not training in the gym, you can find me swimming, riding or running around Vancouver training for my next event.
